Our five week journey through "The Bible" starts this Sunday and will run through the month of March. This Sunday, March 3, Pastor Paul will preach on Abraham and Isaac, specifically Genesis 22:1-19. In this difficult passage, we'll wonder together why God would ever call someone to make this kind of demonstration of their faithfulness and how this event in pre-Israel's earliest history sets the course for the entirety of God's revelation.
Don't forget to watch "The Bible" on the history channel premiering this Sunday evening at 7 pm central time. Watch as the familiar historical Bible stories come to life in drama and film. Then check back on this blog to see what the pastors have to say regarding the series and make your own comments in response.
Challenge: pray that God will lay on your heart the name of someone you can pray for that you can invite to come to church with you on Resurrection Sunday (that's Easter- March 31st).
